KDDI personal multimedia player PLY

KDDI unveiled its future concept handset 'PLY' inspired from the multi-layered plywood during CEATEC 2008. Designed by Hideo Kambara, the PLY features its different layers; a projector layer for presentations, a pinter layer for printing, a game pad and an analogue clock layer. According to the company, this handset can be used commercially soon.

Fujitsu presented its all-in-one PC 'FMV-DESK POWER(model: F/B70T)' like a Apple iMac during CEATEC 2008. Adopting a 19-inch wide monitor, the all-in-one PC supports Intel Core 2 Duo P8400(2.26GHz) processor and 2GB of RAM, 500GB HDD, and Windows Vista Home Premium OS.

Sony LCD HDTV KDL-40ZX1

Sony unveiled its 40-inch world's thinnest LCD HDTV 'KDL-40ZX1' during CEATEC 2008, which features a 9.9mm thickness at its slimmest section.

Sharp LCD TV AQUOS XS1 Series

Sharp unveiled its ultra-slim premium LCD TV 'AQUOS XS1 Series' during CEATEC 2008, which features 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

With only 2.28cm thickness at its slimmest section, the AQUOS XS1 supports 150% color representation and 450 cd/m2 brightness.

It is expected to be available in Japan market on October 15th for 1,280,000(JPY) for 65-inch model and 980,000(JPY) for 52-inch model.
