Yost Engineering Award for Originality in Computer Engineering and Science Awarded.

PRLog (Press Release) remote control helicopter – May 09, 2011– Six Ohio students received honors in the Yost Engineering Award for Originality in Computer En best rc helicopter buy sell market place gineering and Science on Saturday, April 7, 2011 at the 63rd Annual Ohio State Science Day held at The Ohio State University French Field House.  First Place receives a $300.00 prize while 2nd and 3rd places receive $150.00 and $100 respectively.  

* 1st Place - Mihir Parshionikar, 8th grader at Mason Middle School in Mason, Ohio for "Head-based Human Computer Interaction"* 2nd Place - Tom Shkurti, junior at Upper Arlington High School in Upper Arlington, Ohio for "Development of Navigational Algorithms for use in Autonomous Vehicle Control" * 3rd Place - Rachel Kessler, sophomore at Archbishop Alter High School in Kettering, Ohio for "Clandestine Passive Radar Geolocation"* Honorable Mention - Daniel Moran, junior at Minerva High School in Minerva, Ohio for "Computer Sleuth:  Identification by Text Analysis, Year Two" * Honorable Mention - Kanaad Parvate, 8th grader at Henry Karrer Middle School in Dublin, Ohio for "Auto-Tracking Solar Panels:  Worth the Extra Cost?" * Honorable Mention - Desmond Dixon, senior at Thurgood Marshall High School in Dayton, Ohio for "Relating Rubber Muscle Actuators for Micro Air Vehicle Development"

More than 1,000 students in grades 5-12 competed in the Ohio State Science Day where sponsors awarded more the $27 million in 1086273860  support of the future generation of science.  This was Yost Engineering's 2nd year as sponsor of the Yost Engineering Award for Originality in Computer Engineering and Science Award.
